Ok, so...we had major issues with internet and phone here in Roanoke..I don't think it's the town persay, but we had issues. That is besides the point...we are just happy we can now connect with the outside world. So, what have we been doing the past 2 weeks...Well, we moved in on Friday the 13th..all went well.. Then there was Father's Day...Fun at the ol' Gridley pool.
Abe has been crazy busy with Basketball team camps here, there, and everywhere. Roanoke for one week, ISU for the weekend, Olivet this coming weekend and then Greenville the following, plus open gyms!!! This past weekend Ben turned one! Jude was quite the party pooper though..We had to leave promptly after the food was eaten! We'll try to keep more up-to-date now that we are settled in!
Aunt Carrie came down from Chicago this past weekend for a long stay in Roanoke...She and Jude definately had some bonding time together. Aunt Carrie also (along with help from Lena) assisted me in stripping wallpaper in the eat-in kitchen and kitchen area...A little more tedious than one would think...took us 2 days to finish. Thanks Aunt Carrie & Lena for all your hard work (& sore hands, forearms, shoulders, necks, etc)!!!
Jude thoroughly enjoyed his 1st Birthday party on Saturday! Overwhelmed with so many people, he managed to eat; devour the cake; open gifts; and still remain semi-happy! After a bath and a little rocking from Grockey; he escaped the party to find a little rest in his crib! Watch the video as Jude dives into the cake (or just the frosting) Jil did an awesome job creating this yellow & green cake to go with the Lemon/Lime theme we had going on! Thanks so much Jil!
