Sick Day continues...

Jude; well I feel like the guy is playing hookie or something. They call me again today around 2:00pm...Blowouts are happening again; so I go pick him up because Abe's principal won't let him go get Jude (I sware, this lady is like the principal out of the movie MATILDA, if you can get a mental picture...so we decide today to make a trip back to the hospital and visit all the girls --and 2 men I work with. Following the trip to ole' MMCI; we make another run to the grocery store in the jogger. Man does he get the ladies...when I say ladies; I mean older ladies...all of them pointing their finger "oh you little cutie" "oh look at those eyes" "are you having fun" all in this little voice, you know, that older women do....Jude just stares at them with this face, like "Are you kidding me?" Anyway; he was very proud because he got to hold the bag of shredded cheese the entire time around the store and back home. Hopefully tomorrow we make it through a full day.

Sick Day :(

Poor little Jude has been hit with this virus that causes major blowouts--constantly! He's been dealing with this since Saturday. Over the weekend, besides changing the diapers and OUTFITS it really wasn't a bother to Jude and of course on Monday he had his Gree here to tend to his every need...but today it was back to the real world....DAYCARE! They say--3 runny diapers and you strike OUT. Well all morning, I kept saying "I can't believe they haven't called me yet!" And what do you know, 1pm..."Emily please call intercom 05 for a telephone call"...transfer back..."childcare" comes up on my phone...Yep Jude needs to go home. So, the afternoon was ours...regardless of all the blowouts he actually was in pretty good spirits. We walked to the grocery store and made a Target run...Despite his tiredness...he refused to lay down, until about 5:30, he was out cold.

Chilly Day

Saturday was a chilly day, compared to what we've had in the past week.....As most of you know, we are putting our house up for sale; well...today! And so we decided to have a last minute, garage (drive-way) sale...it wasn't a yard sale, or a garage sale, but yes, we drug everything we had and did not need...out into the middle of our driveway..A little hickish., I know, but we sold almost everything within 3 hours. Despite the cold, Jude had fun helping us rake up leaves and barter with the customers. This is also a landmark weekend for Jude; he now CRAWLS...that's right, no learning disabilities here! We have ourselves a crawler; watch out!

Grandma & Grandpa Schoppet

Sunday was such a beautiful day; Grandma & Grandpa Schoppet came to celebrate Abe's birthday and hang with Jude a bit. He enjoyed lots of time in the swing and kisses or (zerberts) not sure which; on the forehead from Grandpa. It was very amusing; Dad would make the noise on his forehead and he would just drop his jaw and hold his head out for another..he loved it. Just as he loves his head rubbed or his neck kissed (by daddy)...He is his father's son!

Jude's New Friends

Jude found a new friend Saturday night; or Andrew found a new friend...either way you look at it, they shared time reading together. It was precious.

Jude played much better with Andrew than with Elle (who is exactly 1 month older than Jude). They started out playing well together..Then, she Whacked him! Jude proved to be a tough boy; no tears were shed...

Caselli-Chiapelli...Do I smell Italian?

Kaden & Kylie (Chiapelli) keep cousin Jude company while teaching him how to play buzz...

Cousin Dayna (Chiapelli) plays catch with little Jude.

Cousin Kristi (Caselli) and Kylie fight over who can hold Jude...

Ahh...finally a Schoppet! Grandpa gets a kick out of great-grandson Jude...Although I think Jude got just as big a kick out of Grandpa!
Thanks for having us over Sat. night! We enjoyed the Italian Food; as well as the company!

Thank-You Aunt Nancy!

We had such a fun time in Southern IL this weekend. Aunt Nancy put up with us for 2 nights and still had a smile on her face when we left Sunday morning! She has the perfect setup to house guests...Jude had the sunroom all to himself...while we were spoiled with her King Bed. Thanks for treating us so well! We hated to leave Sunday morning, but we knew we had to return to reality. Back to work tomorrow!

Jude's Big Saturday

Jude traveled with us for the first time since October, to Collinsville/Belleville. He started his morning out with homemade (by Aunt nancy and Bisquick) pancakes ....boy were they yummy! Eating just wore him out...he fell asleep sitting up in his pack-&-playWe then got ready to go and headed off to beautybrands to see Aunt Beth. Jude had lots of fun at the hairspray sale that was going on! Only $6.98 for the bottles! Jude decided we needed 2. Following the trip to beautybrands, we headed to StClairSquare mall....had lunch and before you know it; he was out like a light--AGAIN! We'll see what the night has to bring us...sounds like a trip to the Caselli's is in store! Be prepared Jude; they've got BUZZ. Never played it, but I hear they can get pretty R-O-W-D-I-E (that's the way we spell rowdy; let's get rowdy; hey hey hey!)

Boys and their Toys

Jude received a new toy this weekend and it not only is a "push-toy" but acts as a "riding-toy" as well. For some reason, he knows what the gear-shifts are...Abe says it was coincidence but I think not. Watch the video as he demonstrates that knows what the gear shifts are and how to use them! Grandpa; did you teach him this????

spring has sWung?

It definately felt like spring in Central IL on Sunday. I think we took a total of 3 walks, played in the yard, got ice cream at the Spotted Cow for the first time this year....and Jude had his first ride in a swing! He LOVED it!

Tuckered Out...

Check out Jude; 2 extremely long naps today (one initiated in the backpack)...What did we do to wear him out?

I believe it's his new-found mode of mobility --scooting! Not only is he scooting, but pulling himself up on any object that will hold firm for his little 20lb body. I found him standing up in his crib just a few days ago; beaming with joy and pride...

Star-baby

Jude has been visiting Starbucks weekly, since he was probably 2 months old. He has now learned to love the whipped cream. Becky shares her's with him (I think it's so he'll like her :) Check out the pics below of Jude in starbucks. He totally owns the comfy chairs!

Scooting turned Walking?

Just days previously we brought you Jude scooting...We now introduce Jude "walking"...well, no not really independantly, but trying very hard to do it on his own. We need to search out a better "push toy". The one below isn't wide enough, so if anyone has suggestions of a good one to purchase; please comment. Watch as Jude tries to handle the shopping cart by himself.
